Intel is transforming retail by offering optimized and personalized shopping experiences. Technological innovations from Intel make it possible for merchants to communicate one-on-one with each shopper by using video analytics and face detection to serve up targeted digital signage. Touch-screen in-store displays allow shoppers to do product research and comparison while in the store, bridging the online and in-store shopping experience. In supermarkets, shoppers can use similar touch screens to choose a recipe for dinner and pull up the list of ingredients. They’ll even have a store map to show the location and price of each item, all at the touch of their fingertips.
