Since autumn this year Delhaize is testing a hyper urban adaptation of its Proxy Delhaize concept.
This store has been designed in two areas to meet the needs of an urban clientele: a "short" circuit dedicated to quick purchases for immediate consumption for the office customer and a longer circuit for the local residents and every day shopping. Designed to be very convenient: very wide aisles, mood lighting, low fixtures or semi-vertical giving an impression of comfort and for easy identification.
In the first part of the store the fast circuit, we find the fruits & vegetables, bread ray, an area ready to eat/snack with a sandwichbar in partnership with an external service provider, a corner to squeeze oranges, salads, fresh drinks, meals to be reheated, sushi, products of the world ... In this area with anthracite gray flooring, communication and signage (also "penciled" handwritten) on the ground hemps customers in a hurry in their choices. To complete these fast track, customer has the choice between traditional cashiers or self service which allows abetter traffic flow during peak hours.
The circuit "long" is dedicated to filling the fridge and the cupboard of the local residents. The atmosphere is warm with a light gray floor. The Delhaize brand is committed to the products, quality and customer service.
